MHS IB students outpace international peers on five of six subject areas tested

Exceed national average in all IB subject areas tested
Marietta High School (MHS) International Baccalaureate (IB) students met or
exceeded the international average in five of the six subject areas tested on the 2008 IB
Diploma Program (DP) assessments. In addition, MHS students exceeded the national average
in all areas tested.
The table below shows the percentage of MHS IB Diploma Program (DP) students
scoring 4 or higher on the IB assessments administered in May 2008. IB assessments are scored
on a 1-7 range, and students who score 4 or higher on all exams will earn the IB diploma as long
as they also satisfy the other core requirements.
